How Much Wallpaper Do You Need A Wall Measurement Guide
It's easier than you think to figure out the size of your wall for wallpaper. Honestly! Whether you want to put up photo wallpaper, a repeat design, or a beautiful wallpaper mural, we have what you need. Here is a guide to help you measure and tape your wall correctly.
Pro Tip for Starters: Get a Measuring Tape!
A tape measure is the best tool for this task. Once you have it, you only need the wall's longest and largest length and width. Let's get to the steps.
How to Measure?
Here are some easy steps you can do with your measuring tape to get accurate results:
1. Find the Wall's Widest Width: Lay your measure tape out flat from one wall corner to the other. To make sure you get a good measurement, make sure you measure at the biggest point.
2. Find the Tallest Point from Floor to Ceiling: Find the highest point from floor to ceiling. Make sure there are no holes by measuring again at the highest point.
3. You don't need to include skirting boards or coving in your measures. Simply measure the main wall.
4. Add Extra for Both Width and Height: We suggest adding an extra 5 cm (2 inches) to both the width and height. This way, you'll have a little extra wallpaper if needed.
